Alright. Good Night

Holographic Projection

Holography as a Narrative Element

In the performance ‘Alright Good Night’ by Helgard Haug (Rimini Protokoll), disappearance, search, and struggle are explored through the example of the vanished flight MH370 and the manifesting dementia of the playwright’s own father.

The piece functions without spoken language; instead, the text is projected onto a Hologaze at the front of the stage. The holographic projections enable a fusion with the scenic actions in the background. Words, text, projected bodies, and graphic elements transform the space and create a virtual dimension.

Marc Jungreithmeier (STUDIO6), as a longtime video designer and partner of the artist collective Rimini Protokoll, developed the projections that, in harmony with the scenic actions, create a multidimensional, transformative landscape.
